Chelsea was an honor roll student at Lacey Township Middle School and a Pride Elite Competitive Cheer athlete. She enjoyed cheerleading, ice skating, and soccer. She was a kind-hearted soul with a beautiful smile. Chelsea exuded an energy that touched the lives of everyone around her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Diehl, June Thackston, and Judith James, her uncle John Diehl Jr., and great-grandparents Cecil and Edith Knox.

Her grandparents, Louis and Pat Conklin; her “bonus grandparents,” Carlos and Jan Arias. Her aunts and uncles, Scott and Jamie Frederiksen, Julie Rood, Belinda Cimino, Mike and Diane Conklin, Chris Conklin, Scott Conklin, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM with a funeral service at Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Rt. 9, Forked River, NJ 08731. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 11, at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 300 Lacey Road, Forked River. Burial will be private.

To support youth suicide prevention, the family is asking for donations to Chelsea’s GoFundMe.

Chelsea Diehl, 14, of Lanoka Harbor, passed away on March 3, 2024. She enjoyed cheerleading, ice skating, and soccer. Chelsea exuded an energy that touched the lives of everyone around her.

She is survived by her mother and father, Lynn Conklin and Brian Diehl, her grandparents Louis and Pat Conklin, her “bonus grandparents” Carlos and Jan Arias, and her aunts.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM with a funeral service at Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Rt. 9, Forked River, NJ 08731.

Proceeds will be used to fund the Celebration of Chelsea Diehl Scholarship Fund, available to students in the Lacey Township School District this summer.
