Gale Dean Birch, 78, of Mesa Arizona, passed away on July 8, 2019. Gale was born in 1940 in Sisseton, South Dakota, to Harold and Violet Simon-Birch. He is a US Army veteran and served in Korea. The service will be private.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Jeanette Docherty of Crozet, Virginia; two daughters, Angeleen Nicole Birch and Robin Marie Birch, both of Charlottesville, Va.; four sisters, Julie Star Sabo, Brenda K. Hogshie, both of Norfolk, Va., Gay M. Chirgos of Edinburg, Va., Brandy J. Burgdoff of Crozet, Va.; two grandchildren, Anthony Scott and Izabel Marie.
He owned and operated Seven Cities Roofing in Norfolk, Virginia.
A memorial service will be held at Mount Moriah Church on Friday, May 11 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Won Un as forerunner.
