Bradley E. Dummer, 45, of Pecatonica, Illinois, passed away at home on April 4, 2024, following a sudden illness. Brad was born on December 13, 1978, in Rockford, Illinois, to Craig and Cathy (Bean) Dummer. Brad graduated from Pecatonica High School in 1997 and received an Associate in Agriculture from Highland Community College.

Brad married Kara Phillips on September 29, 2012, in Rockford, Illinois. Brad worked in family farming for many years, including as a salesman for Pioneer Hybrid International, selling seed and crop insurance. In 2014, Brad founded Dummer Seed Services (DSS), which also provides agricultural services from Veris Technologies.

Brad found great joy in serving the farming community and took pride in the relationships he built with his customers. He was also a dedicated member of the Winnebago County Fair Board of Directors. He enjoyed participating in local truck-pulling eventravelingvelling with the Southwest Wisconsin Pullers.
Brad was intelligent, loving, and caring, always there to help everyone. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his young family.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 13th at 11:00 AM at McCorkle Funeral Home – Pecatonica Chapel, 203 W 5th Street, Pecatonica, IL.

Brad Dummer obituary is a legacy of service and Community Bradley E. Dummer. A cherished Community member and dedicated. Family Man passed away unexpectedly on April 4th, 2024 at his home in Pecatonica Illinois due to a sudden illness born on December 13th, 1978 in Rockford Illinois.

Brad’s 45 years were marked by his commitment to his family his work in agriculture and his active participation in community events Legacy Lanes pays tribute to Brad’s life celebrating the Legacy he leaves behind a life rooted in agriculture.

Brad’s Journey began in Rockford iel where he was born to parents Craig and Cathy Bean Dummer. He grew into a well-respected individual graduating from Pecatonica High School in 1997 Brad’s passion for agriculture led him to pursue and obtain an associate degree in agriculture from Highland Community College in 2012 Brad married Cara Phillips and together they nurtured a loving family welcoming their children.

Preston and Myra Brad dedicated many years to working in his family’s farming operations where he made significant contributions as a representative for Pioneer Hybrid International selling seeds and crop insurance in 2014. He embarked on a new Venture founding Dummer Seed Services DSS through which he offered various Technologies Agricultural Services.

Brad was renowned for his Integrity work ethic and the genuine relationships he built within the agriculture community involvement and personal interests. Beyond his professional achievements, Brad was a devoted member of the Winnebago County Fair board of directors where he played a pivotal role in promoting agricultural education and local farming initiatives his enthusiasm for truck-pulling events showcased his love for Community Gatherings often traveling with Southwest Wisconsin pullers Brad’s Presence at these events complete with his infectious smile and generous spirit will be sorely missed a legacy of love and kindness.

Brad was remembered by friends and family as an intelligent loving and caring individual always ready to lend a helping hand he is survived by his wife Cara their children Preston and Myra his parents Craig and Cathy his brother Brian Amber and numerous nieces nephews. Aunts Uncles and cousins Brad was predeceased by his grandparents a funeral ceremony to honor.

Brad’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13th at McCorkle Funeral Home Pecatonica Chapel visitation will take place the day before on Friday, April 12th from 400 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family suggests that in place of flowers, memorials may be directed to them Brad’s passing has left a void in the hearts of many friends like Tracy and Buck shared touching memories of Brad’s generosity unwavering friendship, and joy.
